About Tslil Henes
Fine-art photographer based in Ramat Gan, Israel.
I learned to look before I learned to explain.
Photography has been part of my life since childhood. Even then, I was often more comfortable observing the world than feeling fully inside it, standing slightly to the side, noticing what other people passed by, and documenting it.
The camera gave that instinct somewhere to go.
That way of seeing still shapes my work today. I photograph landscapes, macro and close-up worlds, people, places, and the moments in between. I’m drawn to atmosphere, small details, unusual perspectives, and the things that reveal themselves only when you spend a little longer looking.
Nature is where that curiosity becomes almost endless. I’m fascinated by the complexity and beauty of what exists without us having designed it, from enormous landscapes to tiny living worlds that can disappear beneath our feet. The closer I look, the more there is to see.
I’m also not interested in making every photograph carry the same emotion. Life doesn’t work that way. Beauty can exist beside sadness, tenderness beside pain, stillness beside tension. I want my photography to have room for the entire spectrum of human emotion rather than forcing everything into a single mood.
For me, photography has always been a way of experiencing the world from a particular distance, observing, collecting details, and turning what I notice into something I can keep. Over time, it became not only a way of documenting what was around me, but a way of turning what I see and feel into art.
Today, Henes Photography brings those different parts of my work together through fine-art prints, visual stories, and photography resources centred on observation, creativity, and the way images are made and experienced.
